Stock Image Trolls Beware! Porn Trolls Hit with Class Action Lawsuit

Thanks to TorrentFreak for reporting on this! All copyright trolls may be best served to govern themselves accordingly. First, Prenda came crashing down, then the Federal Investigation, followed by a rather entertaining indictment, and now the victims are striking back by filing a Class Action Lawsuit… The days of threats of litigation, extortion, fraud and money laundering, are coming to an end for the copyright trolls.
Need I mention  Vincent K. Tylor, Poet Linda Ellis, Getty Images, and the dozens of other image copyright trolls??

The complaint details how the woman was repeatedly threatened and intimidated with a possible $150,000 in statutory damages, asking her to settle for only a few thousand. It also mentions various other allegations including false statements.

In addition, the complaint notes that the defendants may have purposefully operated a honeypot where they themselves distributed the infringing movie before its theatrical release in the U.S.

Sound familiar? Image trolls operate in the same manner, the only thing missing is the embarrassment of “downloading porn”…

The more people that fight back against image copyright trolls, by filing lawsuits, legit complaints with State Attorney Generals, and exposing them in general, will have many benefits going forward..
